1. Pips and Points

Pips and Points are two values used for forex, stock and other financial instruments. Generally, 1 pip = 10 points

In Trading Router message and Trading Router EA, we use points in most every cases. For exmaple price_pips, sl_pips, tp_pips, they all mean number of points

Usually, point value is the last decimal value of a symbol price. For example EURUSD's price is 1.01234, one point of EURUSD is 0.00001. But some brokers may have different values for points.

2. MT4/5 Tool For Finding Point Value

You can download IdentifyPoints EA from our download page and use it to find out the point value of any symbol

The IdentifyPoints EA can be used to find out point value of all financial instruments, forex, stock, option, etc.

You may only use it when the market is open. It may not get point value when market is closed

Put the IdentifyPoints EA on the chart of the symbole whose point value is what you want to find out. There are 3 inputs, you can any point number you want to check.

After you launch the IdentifyPoints EA, it shows the one point value of the symbol, 10 points value of the symbol, 100 points value of the symbol, 1000 points value of the symbol, 10000 points value of the symbol, and also show the value of the 3 points number of your input.

It also shows this information on the log

If you want to show the point value of another symbol, you just open a chart of that symbol and launch the IdentifyPoints EA on that chart.
